Summer Camps July 2-26, 2019

For Children Aged 5 - 12

Our camp theme for 2019 is:

PEACE MAKERS

$100 for one one-week camp

$175 for any two camps;

$255 for any three camps:

$375 for all four camps

Day rate of $25 and bursaries available.

In a world plagued by violence, supporting children in developing the character to promote peace in all their circles of influence is crucial.  Drawing on the resources of the Judeo-Christian tradition, we will work with your children this summer to equip them to be peace makers in their families, among their friends, and with their communities.  You can choose any or all of the weeks offered.  Through song, story, and physical activities, your children will be educated in peace making in an engaging way.

ABOUT OUR CAMPS

We are a collaboration of Christian Churches in the New Westminster / Burnaby area. Our purpose is to encourage children in developing some of the core values of the Christian Faith in their lives while having fun, making friends and creating memories.  This year will be our fourth year running the summer camp and we expect it to be our biggest and best yet.

2019 CURRICULUM

Campers' recreational and craft activities will be tailored to each church location, the public amenities available nearby and the age-range of the children.

Each weekly camp will include games, crafts, out-door playtime, lunch and snack times, as well as a themed discussion on key aspects of peace making.

The theme of the camp this year is Peace Makers.  The minister of each church will be in charge of presenting one of four related Scriptures dealing with peace making to each of the four camps in different ways so there won't be overlap and will be something new each day. Friday all clergy will attend and have a "wind up" session and share a lunch with the families.   On the last Sunday of July, an outdoor worship will be held at Queens Park followed by a picnic.
